The Associate Director of Primary School will assist the Lower School Director in serving the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students in grades PreK-2nd. This position will assist the Director of Lower School in the implementation of the school’s vision, mission, and initiatives. The Associate Director of Primary School will work with members of the Lower School administrative team to design curriculum, identify best teaching practices, and support professional learning opportunities to assist faculty in implementing best teaching practices. The Associate Director of Primary School will communicate with parents, assist in disciplinary matters, and other duties as outlined by the Director for Lower School.

Assist the Lower School Director in creating an enthusiastic culture for learning and collaboration among students and faculty.
Assist the Lower School Director in the overall administration of the Primary School; interpret and enforce school policies and regulations.
Support the Lower School Director in the collaborative development and implementation of the school’s mission and vision.
Work with the Lower School administration to identify best teaching practices and implement a plan for professional development and learning.
Consistently assess curriculum to identify strengths and needs.
Support the Lower School faculty in grades PreK-2 with helping to facilitate a positive, effective, and orderly classroom environment.
Consistently be visible in classrooms to support teacher growth.
Coach and support teachers with best teaching practices.
Assume other special activities and responsibilities as required or when directed by the Director of Lower School.
