Kendall Christian School is in search of its next Head of School, who will assume leadership in July 2023. 

Kendall Christian School was established in 1973 as a ministry of Kendall Presbyterian Church.  Over the last 50 years, Kendall Christian has been committed to providing exceptional Christian education in a nurturing, and caring environment. Families of all races, nationalities, and ethnic origins are welcome.  The small class sizes allow for close relationships between students and teachers.  The security monitoring and gated campus helps students and families feel safe and secure.

Kendall Christian School currently has two campuses and will be opening a third campus for the fall of 2024, serving over 500 students.  With just over 95 employees, KCS was voted “Best Place to Work” for four consecutive years by the South Florida Business Journal.

At Kendall Christian School, the head of school carries out the duties and responsibilities of the school to the glory of God and to the benefit of the educational program.  The Head of school is immediately responsible to the Board of Directors for all academic, personnel, business, and developmental matters of the school according to the policies and procedures established by it.  The Head of school faithfully promotes the school’s Mission, Vision and other position and policy documents of the school as it impacts the educational and spiritual growth of each student, faculty and staff member.

The Ideal Candidate should:

• Be a devout follower of Christ, who understands what it means to lead with a Biblical worldview in all aspects of their role.
• Be an actively involved member of a Protestant church.
• Possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, nurturing and visional leadership.
• Demonstrate leadership experience in independent education in a K-8 setting, including classroom experience.
• Be dedicated to the success of every student. Embracing excellence in academics.
• Be self-directed, and be able to work independently as well as with and in groups

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or higher
• Graduate degree in Educational Leadership
• Five years of active experience in school administration
