SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH – Duval County Public Schools, Florida
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters’ Degree from an accredited institution
Ten years of increasingly responsible administrative leadership experience
Administrative/leadership at the district/cabinet level in a district approaching 25,000 students or more
Preferred Qualifications:
Earned Doctorate from an accredited institution
Classroom teaching and school principal experience
Current or past experience as a school superintendent
Experience in a large, diverse district serving students with populations similar to Duval
Experience with students in urban, suburban, and rural settings
The School Board is prepared to offer a three-year contract with a salary range of $275,000 -- $350,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications, with competitive benefits. Candidates selected as finalists must be available for on-site interviews on November 16 and 17, 2023. The projected position start date is January 1, 2024 with a transition period being established subject to contract negotiations with the School Board.

Duval County Public Schools is the 20th largest school district in the nation, educating more than 127,000 students in more than 200 schools, including charter schools.
