Duval County Public Schools is the 20th largest school district in the nation, educating more than 127,000 students in more than 200 schools, including charter schools. Primarily serving the city of Jacksonville, the largest city by landmass in the continental U.S., the district is highly diverse with schools in urban, suburban, and rural communities. The district has enjoyed a long season of improvement with its graduation rate increasing more than 20 percentage points since 2010. Additionally, the district is commonly recognized among top performing districts in the nation through the NAEP Trial Urban District Assessment program.
